Theodore Schafer is a neo-classical/ambient artist from Ann Arbor, MI whose single "So Young" is the inaugural release of the Hacktivism label. Side A is a track that is highly similar to Theodore's previous body of work, much of which was self-released, digital only, with the exception of a tape on the Warm Gospel label. The track is a dense, slow, and somber configuration of loops that comes off as warm and foggy. Side B is one of the more uplifting tracks by Theodore, featuring some vocal samples and truly beautiful loops and field recordings. As with many good ambient releases, these two sides bleed heavy with nostalgia.

Theodore is also one of two members of the ambient/drone band Cestine, who have had releases on Rok Lok Records and Twice Removed.

“The A-side is a throbbing piece of textureless, floating vibes. Made up of slow, pulsing loops, it’s a beautifully layered composition that is sure to put its listener into a trance. Side B includes loops that are more abrasive, but the atmosphere is still soothing, a combination of gravelly samples and warm, sparkling synths.
